Boubou is a large male shepherd dog with a beautiful pale yellow coat. He currently lives with two female dogs and the litter of puppies recently born to one of them.
The shepherd they all lived with became unwell and no longer needed them. They found food and company at a local supermarket. Boubou was not used to human companionship, but volunteers have spent time gaining his trust and he now loves a cuddle, enjoys being groomed and is clearly happy to see his caregivers when they arrive to feed him and spend quality time with him.
He is used to his freedom and would suit a home where he had plenty of scope to roam and someone to spend time on long walks with him and training him to become familiar with such things as collars and leads, indoor spaces and learning to relax as he is used to guarding. He has been chipped and neutered.
He is a lovely dog, but has not been home, child or cat tested so more assessment is needed before we can find the right family for him.
